Safe Driving School of the Piedmont is licensed by the Department of Motor Vehicles of the Commonwealth of Virginia, providing affordable and effective driver education throughout Southside Virginia. The school accepts check, credit card and debit card payments from Mastercard, VISA, and Discover.
All fees are due when the course begins. Additionally:
- Any missed classes/assignments must be made up in subsequent classes with no additional fees.
- Students will be notified in event classes are to be canceled. Rescheduling will be made at that time.
- Students 17 years of age or under are required to complete all Driver’s Education.
- Students 18 or 19 years of age and older may hold a Learner’s Permit for 60 days in lieu of completing a driver training course.
Instruction provided does not guarantee that any student will pass the Commonwealth’s license examination or that the student can secure a license, or that the student will be guaranteed employment upon completion of any course instruction. Tuition is non-refundable unless the school or instructor is unable or unwilling to perform its part of the contract within 30 calendar days from the date agreed to in the contract. A student may repeat a failed class and/or retake road test within one year free of charge.

Early Course Termination
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the school generally works with students to manage their situation. Once notified of a situation, the school will hold a course and the student continue when they are ready.
If a student is unable to return to school, they may request a refund. Refunds are permitted at the sole discretion of the owner depending on a student’s specific needs and circumstances. Refunds may not be granted by any other member of the Safe Driving team.
